Edinburgh Critical Studies on the Colonial and Anti-Colonial Press

The series showcases the latest research into Anglophone and non-Anglophone colonial and anti-colonial press and periodicals by leading and emerging scholars in the field. It offers cutting-edge studies analysing the fundamental role played by colonial and anti-colonial periodicals and newspapers in sustaining as well as contesting the economic, political and cultural hegemony of the European empires from their inception to their fall. Volumes in the series consider both European publications for colonial consumption and publications from colonies and dominions for local and international circulation.
