Developing Countries Initiatives

As part of its commitment to the dissemination of research, Edinburgh University Press supports free or discounted access to researchers in certain countries. Visit our Developing Countries Initiatives page for further detail.

Sample Issues and Featured Articles

Sample issues and featured articles are freely available to all for the majority of our journals. Please browse to individual journal pages for more information.

SHERPA RoMEO

SHERPA RoMEO (http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/) is a list of publisher copyright and self-archiving policies, with publishers are ranked by colour depending on the rights they grant to authors. Edinburgh University Press supports Green Open Access (via our standard copyright agreement) and Gold Open Access (through the Edinburgh Open initiative).

Access to Research

All EUP journals are included in the Access to Research initiative which gives free, walk-in access to a wide range of academic articles and research in public libraries across the UK. Access to Research is available to the general public, and is likely to be of especial interest to students and independent researchers.

Initiative for Open Citations

EUP journal citation data is freely available via the Initiative for Open Citations. The initiative states that citations are the most important vehicle for the discovery, dissemination, and evaluation of all scholarly knowledge.
