Edinburgh University Press had another record year of sales from books, journals, rights and permissions. Total revenues for the year ending 31st July 2018 were £3.43 million – a 6% increase on 2017.

We published over 200 new books for the first time in this year, as well as 138 books new in paperback. As well as strong sales of new books, ebook revenue was at a record level. Our best-sellers were textbooks and reference works and our commissioning continues to include these book types as well as monographs.

We published 43 journals this year with a 35 increase in revenue from last year. Two of these journals were new: Afghanistan and the Journal of Inkling Studies.
